1 - 16 oz. can kidney beans

1 Tbsp. chili powder

1 Tbsp. paprika

1 tsp. ground cumin

1 tsp. cajun seasoningor creole

1 Tbsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. sea salt

1 tsp. ground black pepper

2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

2 cups cooked quinoaoptional, or brown rice
Directions

Prepare your chili basePrepare a large pot over medium heat and add your olive oil. Add the onions and allow to glaze for a couple minutes. Add your ground turkey and chop with a spatula or wooden spoon and allow to brown. Then add your carrots, garlic, and celery, and stir. Add all seasonings and stir and quickly add in your tomato sauce. Add your beans and bring to a low heat. Simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour stirring occasionally. Enjoy as is or over brown rice or quinoa. |
