Ingredients

1 lb. ground turkey
2 - 28 oz. cans diced or crushed tomato sauce
4 stalks chopped celery
3-4 chopped carrots
4 chopped garlic cloves
1 large onions chopped
1 - 16 oz. can organic black beans
1 - 16 oz. can kidney beans
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. cajun seasoning or creole
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 cups cooked quinoa optional, or brown rice

    A comfort dish that will keep you full for hours.  It’s chocked full of veggies and spices with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  Enjoy with ground turkey or if plant based, Beyond Meat has a wonderful ground beef alternative.

    Prepare your chili base

    Prepare a large pot over medium heat and add your olive oil. Add the onions and allow to glaze for a couple minutes. Add your ground turkey and chop with a spatula or wooden spoon and allow to brown. Then add your carrots, garlic, and celery, and stir. Add all seasonings and stir and quickly add in your tomato sauce. Add your beans and bring to a low heat. Simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour stirring occasionally. Enjoy as is or over brown rice or quinoa.
