- 20 dates
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 2 teaspoon whole cumin seeds or cumin powder
- 2 teaspoon cane sugar or erythritol
- can be used by diabetic & those on a low carb diet salt to taste sugar alcohol
Date chutney is another very versatile dip that can be used with appetizers and even as a delicious spread on breads or with breakfast.
Dates basically hail from Iraq & the Middle East and there are hundreds of varieties available that very in texture and sweetness.
Dates are very rich in vitamins & minerals, fiber & sucrose.
They are exceptionally good at improving energy levels and hence they are eaten mainly at breakfast or when feeling low on energy. Here I have used my Instant Pot to make the date chutney.
